Position title: Communications Coordinator

​

Position Summary :

 

The candidate will maintain a regular social media presence across Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook, collaborating with funders and potential partners, and engaging with other social media pages. The Communications Coordinator works under the supervision of and reports directly to the Director. May supervise consultants or volunteers as deemed necessary. Works closely with the communications team of the Consortium to develop an annual communications strategy using existing channels and exploring other potential channels. Works closely with the Coexistence Fellows to create concise communication materials about the Fellowship Programme and its projects, including coordinating, reviewing, and editing content for regular updates from the fellows. This job description covers the main tasks and conveys the spirit of the sort of tasks that are anticipated proactively from staff. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary according to organisational needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Consortium members to collate and create content for social media, newsletters, and the website.

  • Create additional communication materials as needed, such as blogs, videos, or social media posts.

  • Organise and coordinate monthly webinars, including creating and distributing promotional materials across various channels.

  • Create, curate, and distribute the Consortium’s quarterly newsletter.

  • Update the website in line with the communications strategy.

  • Explore collaborations with various channels and partners to enhance visibility for the consortium and its programmes such as the Coexistence Fellowship, including engaging with podcast channels or other media formats.

  • Support any events with collateral, social media, and other necessary aspects.

  • Conduct fellow/member interviews during annual meetings or coursework, for creating short/long videos representing their views and work.

  • Attend and document Fellowship coursework as needed.

  • Lead communication workshops and dialogues for different stakeholders such as media, forest departments, NGOs, etc.

  • Help organise in-person talks for the Consortium members and Fellows, as and when needed.

 

 

Location: Bangalore

 

Salary: Rs 40,000.
