I am an ecologist working on human-leopard interactions over the last decade, an area that was previously unexplored. I have a Master’s degree from the University of Pondicherry and Iowa in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I am the Country Director of Wildlife Conservation Society-Indian Programme. I am a recipient of the Kaplan Graduate award and have been extensively supported by grants from the Rufford Foundation U.K. and the Royal Norwegian Embassy to India. My work has been to use the research findings to make informed management decisions. I have also contributed to policy documents related to human-leopard conflict management at the state and national level.
